If You Tell Your Child About Leprechauns…

If you tell your child about leprechauns, she will ask you if they are people.

When you tell her they are little people, she will ask you if they are nice.

When she finds out they are nice, she will ask you if they will bring her a ball.

When you tell her they bring good luck, she will ask you what that means.

When you tell her that they are happy and live under rainbows, she will tell you that she lives in a house.

Then she will tell you that she doesn’t want the leprechauns to come to her house.

When you tell her that they won’t, then she will tell you that she doesn’t want them at school either.

When you tell her that they may visit her school for the St. Patty’s Day party, she will tell you that she doesn’t want to eat treats.

When you tell her that she doesn’t have to eat treats, she will tell you that she doesn’t have to go to school either.

Glad we had this talk.

Dedicated to my child’s wonderful teacher, Ms. April. (Sorry if my daughter isn’t excited to see the leprechaun tomorrow.  Now you know why.)

About bizemom

I am a busy working mom (get it... "Biz e-Mom"?) of three kids under the age of four. I have a white-collar day job, I have a night job as a mom, and an "in between" job as a freelance writer and blogger. What can I say, I am a glutton for punishment and I don't go to bed until 1 a.m. No matter how much I complain, I like being busy. That must be the Sagitarius in me--we get bored easily. Now on to the next adventure (I mean... venture!)
