Is That a Hanger on Your Back or Are You Just Happy to See Me?

A mom with two kids walks into school.

Mom smiles at the school director and says “ Good morning.”

School Director comes closer and then smiles at the mom, and then reaches out for mom’s back.

Puzzled mom turns around to see the school director holding a clothes hanger.

“What’s that?” The mom asks.

“You had a hanger on your back.”

Punch line? None.  That really happened to me.

I literally had a white, plastic hanger stuck to the back of my coat.   I was walking around with a hanger clinging to me – and that hanger was no joke. It was a tough little son of a gun!  I got dressed for work, put on my wool trench coat, got into the car, drove to school, then got out of the car to unload my kids, and all the while I had a hanger attached to me. In my book, that’s worse than a “Kick Me” sign.

Don’t ask me how, but stupid stuff like that happens to me every day. I hope you can laugh at my expense.

About bizemom

I am a busy working mom (get it... "Biz e-Mom"?) of three kids under the age of four. I have a white-collar day job, I have a night job as a mom, and an "in between" job as a freelance writer and blogger. What can I say, I am a glutton for punishment and I don't go to bed until 1 a.m. No matter how much I complain, I like being busy. That must be the Sagitarius in me--we get bored easily. Now on to the next adventure (I mean... venture!)

Wow. Thanks for the laugh. I’m guessing you’ll be checking your back when you leave the house from now on?

  2. That is funny. I have had silly similar things happen to me too and an occasional Kick Me sign too.

  3. I’m laughing; whether at your expense is debatable. 🙂

  4. Ironic Mom says:

ROFL. I wouldn’t get hung up on that at all…

  5. Marcia says:

Hee hee, that’s funny and just the sort of thing I’d do. It just shows you’re a typical mum/woman dashing around, muti-tasking and no wonder things like that happen. Could have been worse, could have had your skirt tucked in your knickers….
